The Ocean from Germany is formed around Robin Staps (who also runs Pelagic Records) and used to be The Ocean Collective. More than 30 members played in this Berlin based collective until it turned into a more stable line-up in 2009 when they recorded Heliocentric and Antropocentric.
Aeolian has been in my car stereo for months. It's one of my all time favorites. However Fluxion and Aeolian were recorded in the same sessions, Aeolian was released only two years later. There is a lot more progressive influence in Aeolian compared to Fluxion. The album sets the tone from the first seconds starting with heavy pumping guitars and double bass drum backing the whole thing. And this is only the beginning. The entire album is a burst of energy and heaviness. The more you listen to it the more you get it. And those kind of albums are the essence of any music collection. Certainly if the artwork looks as good as the music sounds.
